Water entering the pores can leave the surface feeling drier before the whole mat has dried. The moisture still needs airflow and time to leave the material.
That is why the mat, the mesh underlay and the floor beneath it should be allowed to dry. We do not describe the product as permanently dry, maintenance-free or immune to odor.

Does the picture prove it dries in seconds?
No. Our current absorption image is an explanatory illustration, not a timed test. Drying varies with water volume, ventilation and use. A surface that feels dry is not necessarily dry throughout.
